The working principle of the slurry pump is a device that converts electrical energy into kinetic energy and potential energy of the medium by means of centrifugal force (rotation of the pump impeller). It is mainly used in mining, power plants, dredging, metallurgy, chemical industry, petroleum and other industries.
Slurry pumps play an active role in energy conservation and an important role in the emission reduction process of thermal power generation. Slurry pumps can save 4%-8% energy compared with similar products, and contribute to air purification.
Slurry pump classification:
According to the number of impellers: single-stage slurry pump and multi-stage slurry pump.
According to the position of the pump shaft and the horizontal plane: horizontal slurry pump and vertical slurry pump.
According to the way of water inhalation: single-suction slurry pump and double-suction slurry pump.
According to the structure of the pump shell: single-shell slurry pump and double-shell slurry pump.
When the slurry pump is working, the pump needs to be placed on land, the suction pipe needs to be placed in water, and the pump needs to be primed and started. Due to structural limitations, the motor of a mud pump and a submerged slurry pump needs to be placed above the water surface when working, and the pump must be placed in the water, so it must be fixed, otherwise the motor will fall into the water and cause the motor to be scrapped. In addition, since the length of the major axis is generally fixed, the installation and use of the pump is more troublesome, and the application occasions are subject to many restrictions.
If there is a spare pump, use the two pumps in turn. If the pump is stuck, you can only repair the pump. You can add a net at the water inlet to prevent too much impurities from entering the pump, which will reduce the chance of the pump getting stuck.
Slurry pumps are divided into two aspects: electrical and mechanical. For electrical aspects, it is necessary to understand the power and control system of each pump motor. For slurry pumps with mechanical seals, the supply of shaft seal water must be guaranteed. It is strictly forbidden to operate without water, otherwise the mechanical seal will burn out.
