Working Principle of Horizontal Slurry Pump

Date: 2022-03-11     From: Longding     Author: admin

Horizontal slurry pumps are widely used in many fields, and are mainly used to transport high-corrosion, high-concentration solid-liquid solid-liquid mixed slurry. The working process of the horizontal slurry pump is divided into two stages: the water pressure process and the water absorption process.

Working principle of horizontal slurry pump

The working principle of the horizontal slurry pump is similar to that of the centrifugal pump. The key structure of the horizontal slurry pump is the impeller and the casing. The impeller is located on the shaft in the casing, and the prime mover is integral with it and cannot be separated. Under the action of the prime mover, the impeller of the slurry pump drives the blades to rotate, thereby causing the rotation of the fluid. Both the pressure potential energy and the kinetic energy of the fluid increase. In addition, under the action of centrifugal force, the fluid is scattered from the center to the surrounding edges of the impeller, and a large tangential velocity is generated and thrown out of the impeller. After entering the press-out chamber, it flows out under the diversion effect of the diffuser tube, and the whole process is a water-pressing process.

At the same time, the pressure at the center of the impeller is very small in the process that the fluid is thrown from the center of the impeller to the surrounding, forming a low-pressure area. The fluid will be sucked into the impeller under the action of atmospheric pressure, and this process is a water absorption process.
