Why Is The Vibration Motor Overloaded?

Date: 2023-05-13     From: Longding     Author: admin

The vibration motor has a certain operating power, which is called the rated power, and the unit is watts (W). If the actual power of the motor exceeds the rated power of the vibration motor, this phenomenon is called motor overload.

Why is the vibration motor overloaded?

1. The vibration motor has been severely affected by moisture or corrosive gas for a long time, which will reduce the insulation resistance.

2. The bearing of the vibration motor is short of oil, dry grinding or the rotor is not concentric, so that the motor current exceeds the rated value.

3. The vibration motor voltage is too high or too low. The voltage measured at the stator leads of the motor when the vibration motor is starting or running at full load, rather than the no-load voltage. When the load of the vibrating motor is constant, if the voltage decreases, the current will definitely increase, causing the temperature of the vibrating motor to be too high. If the voltage is too low, the vibration motor will be forced to stop or run at a low speed, and the current will increase sharply, causing the motor to burn out.

4. There is a failure in the mechanical transmission part. The motor runs at low speed or stagnates due to reasons such as bearings falling apart, bore sweeping, or excessive mechanical load, causing the motor to burn out due to overcurrent.

5. The stator connection method of the vibrating motor does not meet the requirements.

6. Improper selection of vibration motor. Most machinery has large flywheel inertia, such as punching shear machines, centrifugal dispensers, ball mills, and so on. Starting resistance moment is large, starting time is long, easy to damage the motor. This kind of machinery should choose the starting current to be small, starting torque is a large deep groove or wound rotor motor.

7. Quality problem of vibrating motor. The main reasons for possible overload in the manufacturing process include large air gap of the stator rotor, poor casting quality of the motor, wrong winding data, and so on. But for standard motor production enterprises, this kind of motor will not leave the factory.
